The Story Starts Here
Full Sail University partnered with Kymera in June 2022 in search of a better solution for one of their largest recurring campaigns: a nationwide direct mail program with digital components. They needed a partner who could provide more competitive pricing, enhanced capabilities, and a higher level of service than they were receiving from their previous mailhouse.
The performance of their direct mail campaigns had been steadily declining — and they weren’t sure whether the issue was the creative itself or the way the campaign was being executed. They also wanted the flexibility to redesign the postcard, update the accompanying dashboard, and make use of more dynamic, personalized features — but ran into limitations with their prior vendor.
The Process
Kymera brought a more sophisticated and customized solution to the table. We created a tailored micro-site featuring nine distinct landing pages, each aligned with one of Full Sail’s areas of study. Each page included an autofill form personalized for the mail recipient. Postcards were also versioned — recipients received a design specific to their area of interest, complete with variable name fields, a personalized URL (PURL), and a personal QR code (PQR) that directed them to their unique landing experience.
Once a recipient visited the landing page, any submitted form data was sent directly into Full Sail’s CRM. Behind the scenes, Kymera built a live reporting dashboard that instantly tracks site visits, form submissions, geographic distribution, and engagement metrics across all areas of study — giving Full Sail instant insight into the campaign’s performance and reach.
The Results
Together with Full Sail, Kymera developed a new mailer design that stayed within budget, was optimized for large-scale production, and most importantly — boosted response rates. The personalized experience from mailbox to landing page helped increase engagement, while the automated tracking and CRM integration made it easy for Full Sail’s team to follow up and analyze results in real time.
