BRAND STORY

Toasted is a family-owned restaurant that specializes in hand crafted grilled cheese sandwiches, burgers, and natural cut fries, served in an effortless, fast casual environment. Toasted is the first to bring gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches to the Central Florida area.

The Story Starts Here

In 2012, the client came to us with the big idea of selling grilled cheese sandwiches and burgers in a fast-casual setting. They wanted to create a unique identity and brand that was fun with an appealing atmosphere where customers could feel the comfort of home.

The Process

We began by researching concept names, creating a brand identity, and planning the interior design - all on an accelerated timeline to meet the client’s project launch date. Once the name Toasted was decided upon, we were able to begin shaping the restaurant’s brand identity. Next it was time to design the complete interior decor layout, including assistance with front of house operations planning. We also developed and printed the Toasted menu, training materials, business cards, gift certificates, table tents, and other supporting collateral. A robust social media campaign was also created to leverage the power of Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.

THE RESULTS

Toasted launched their brand and opened the restaurant on schedule. Media coverage from Eat Local Bloggers, The Daily Buzz, and the Orlando Business Journal further helped to build awareness. Within three weeks, Facebook likes went from the single digits to over 700. Toasted has achieved an 83% ranking on Urbanspoon and 4-stars on Yelp. The restaurant exceeded client revenue and sales projections by 200%, putting Toasted ahead of schedule to open an additional one or two restaurants by the end of 2013.

In 2018, Mailtropolis and TCreative merged and formed Kymera. The work for this client was performed under TCreative.
