The Story Starts Here
Kymera has managed the MVC Events site for several years, which allows members to see available event options. When the opportunity to update the site came up, Kymera stepped up to the plate.
The Process
Through meetings with the MVC team, we identified their goals, which included increasing bookings from the site and improving the user experience by making it easier to search for and sort events. We identified the opportunity to run an A/B test to compare the layout of the previous site to the new site.
The Results
After two months of the A/B test, there was a clear winner. The new website design, search, and sort features changed the behaviors of users on the site. Page views increased from 1.63 to 1.77 per visit, total visits increase to 10,909 from 4,203, and the average time on site nearly doubled, increasing from :59 to 1:40 per visit. The second month of the test period ended up yielding the highest rate of bookings from the site that MVC has ever had.
